Bennie Bond Polk, Sr.

Funeral services were held Monday 6-15-2015 at New Chapel Pentecostal Church in Collins, MS for Mr. Bennie Bond Polk, age 85, who passed away on June 11, 2015 at his residence in Prentiss, MS. Rev. Rodney Bankens and Rev. Albert Reid officiated. Interment followed at New Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Nathan Thurman, Kyle Thurman, Andy Polk, Anthony Polk, Toby Smith and Tommy Wayne Crosby. Bennie was born May 31, 1930 in Jefferson Davis County, MS. He was the son of Bennie Polk and Gracie Terrell. He worked as a farmer for Brown-Miller Pickle Co. in Prentiss and was also a Supervisor for four terms for Beat 4. He is survived by his daughter, Sandi Burnett (Nick) of Carbondale, IL; three sons, Randy Polk, Ricky Polk and Dale Polk all of Prentiss, MS; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and three sisters. Saulters-Moore Funeral Services of Prentiss handled all arrangements.
