Funeral Services were held Friday, December 19, 2008 Huricane Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Curtis Roland and Rev. Glenn Nace officiated. Internment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia. Mr. Sullivan was born in Columbia, MS on January 25, 1932, the son of John L. Sullivan and Mary McCain Sullivan. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and served in the Korean Conflict. He was an Operator for Southland Oil Company and retired after working more than 30 years. He was a member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church. He also belonged to the St. Albans Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner. He is survived by his sons; Wendell M. Sullivan, Jr. and wife, Ruth of Sandy Hook, MS, Roger D. Sullivan and wife Donna of Harriman, TN; a daughter, Diana L. Hudson and husband, Dale of Kokomo, MS; nine grandchildren, Brent Sullivan and wife Scarlett, Brian Sullivan, Justin Bedwell, Kelly Bullock and husband Danny, Kayla Terrell, Cory Hudson, Cassie Hudson, Stephanie Peoples and husband Roy, and Josh Sullivan; nine great-grandchildren--Gabby Sullivan, Lizzie Sullivan, Briley Sullivan, Kaitlyn Bullock, Daniell Bullock, Jayden Terrell, Alex Albritton, Trey Peoples and Skylan Peoples; two sisters, Betty Lewis of Converse, LA and Delores Ockmand of Lumberton, MS; and two brothers, Bill Sullivan of Hattiesburg and Larry Sullivan of Corpus Christi, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Laverne Cox Sullivan.
