Adelle Jones

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss for Emma Adelle Jones, age 97, of Hattiesburg, who died on November 15, 2008 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Internment will follow at Prentiss Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. until service time on Tuesday. Mrs. Jones was born in Prentiss, MS on November 29, 1910, the daughter of John Cagin Polk and Sarah Hemby Polk. She attended Clark Business College. She retired after a number of years as the church secretary at Prentiss Baptist Church. She also worked at Stamps Guaranty in Prentiss. She was a member of Prentiss Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her son, Larry Jones of Navarre, FL, two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, H. S. Jones, one brother and three sisters. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prentiss Baptist Church.
