Marcia Jean Smith

Funeral services were held Wednesday January 7, 2015 at Saulters Moore Chapel in Prentiss MS for Mrs. Marcia Jean Buckley Smith, age 77, who passed away on January 4, 2015 at Country Brook Living Center in Brookhaven. Interment followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Phillip Douglas officiated. Pall bearers were: Joey Ashley, Craig Priest, Paul Foster, Lucas Keith and Brody Mathews. Honorary bearers were: Clyde Brown, Paul Sutton and Bobby Joe Sutton. Marcia Jean was born on November 19, 1937 in Mississippi. She was the daughter of Billy Burnon Buckley and Ina Sutton. She worked as a teaching assistant for 25 years in the New Hebron School district. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by her Son Kendall and his wife Susan Barger Smith of McComb MS. Five grandchildren: Brian Little, Whitney Carter, Julie Harper, Wesley Barger and Jacy Barger. Two great grandchildren: Ava Kate Little and Savannah Leigh Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Truett and her daughter, Barbara.
