George Louis Bridges

Funeral services for Mr. George Louis Bridges were held Saturday November 8th, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Saulters Moore Chapel in Prentiss. He was 91 years old. He passed away at Covington Hospital in Collins. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Kenneth Harrison Officiated. Pall Bearers were: Michael Bridges, Greg Woodard, Henry Coulter, Josh Bridges, Dwight Chance and James Smith Louis was born April 25,, 1923 to Orlan Bridges and Ellen Daughdrill Bridges.He was a graduate of Mississippi College. He was WWII Army Air Corp. He was a school teacher in the public school system for thirteen years. He is survived by his three sons, James Bridges of Petal, Rev. Gary Bridges of Collins and Randy Bridges of Pearl. Seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Two brothers, Nolan Bridges of Collins and Charles David Bridges of Houston, TX. Two sisters, Lillian Hughes of Olive Branch and Gladys Coulter of Prentiss. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother and one sister.
