Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 15th, 2008, at Saulters-Moore Funeral Chapel for Wilma S. Tyrone, age 81, of Prentiss, MS, who died October 12th at her residence. Dr. French W. Tripp officiated. Interment followed at Prentiss Cemetery with Saulters-Moore Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pall Bearers were: Robert G. Miller, Wilford Speed Jr., Jack Magee, Jeff Cochran, Corky Holliman and James W. Bynum. Mrs. Tyrone was born in Lawrence County on February 14, 1927 the daughter of Robert Sills and Mae Newsome Sills. Wilma was born a twin along with her brother, Walter. She was in banking for many years. She was also a member of Prentiss Presbyterian Church and was the church historian. She is survived by a daughter--Anne Elms and husband, Glenn of Conroe, TX; two sons--Charles Tyrone and wife, Kim of Russellville, AR, and Walter Tyrone, and wife, Sandie of Forney, TX; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren; her twin brother--Walter Sills of Cleveland, GA and sisters--Eula Murphy of Spalding, NE; Delma Simmons of Gulfport, MS; Roberta Magee of Pearl, MS; Bobbie Price of Natchez, MS; and stepsisters-Nell Wallace of Mize, MS and Kathryn Crosby of Brandon, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Sills and Mae Newsome Sills, her husband, Louie Tyrone and brothers and sisters--Wallace, James, Ernie, Maggie and Catherine.
