Roger Earl Kirby

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Bassfield, MS for Roger Earl Kirby, age 52, who passed away on July 19, 2014 at his residence in Bassfield, MS. Interment followed at the St. James Cemetery in Bassfield. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Father Godfrey Andoh and Deacon Bob Everard officiated. Pall Bearers were: George Ray Cavanaugh, Ed Cavanaugh, Mark Davis, Mark Fails, Keith Applewhite, Jamie Wilson, Vincent Skinner, Cagney Applewhite and Roy Miller. Roger was born on January 15, 1962 in New Orleans, LA. He was the son of James Earl Kirby and Margie Brock. Roger was a retired brick layer and a member of St. Peters Catholic church. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Ware (Trelle) of Sumrall, MS; Three sons, Lee Kirby, Michael Kirby and Lance Kirby. All of Hattiesburg, MS; four grandchildren; his step mother, Mary Helen Kirby of Bassfield, MS; two sisters, Diane Smith of Seagrove Beach, FL and Janet Applewhite of Bassfield, MS.
