Shelby "Shake" M. Coulter, Jr.

Graveside services were held Monday, May 19, 2014 at Brady Cemetery in Prentiss, MS. for Mr. Shelby M. “Shake” Coulter Jr. who passed away on May 16, 2014. Interment immediately followed. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Mr. Jody Thompson officiated. Pall Bearers were Jay Thompson, Randy Allen, Mack Stephens and Charles Allen. Shake Coulter was born on March 9, 1934 in Prentiss, MS. He was the son of Shelby Coulter Sr. and Hazel Parker Coulter. He served proudly for the US Army during the Korean War. He was the owner of Southern Cleaners in Hattiesburg, MS. He worked at various jobs throughout his career including Captain of a boat and a Tour bus driver for Quick Bus Lines from Virginia to D.C. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Moose Lodge. He is survived by his daughter, Janet Thompson (Jody) of Hattiesburg, MS; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and his sister Mary Parker Wilson of Nashville, TN.
