Troy Stapleton

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Dublin Baptist Church in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Troy Stapleton, age 81, of Collins, who passed away on March 18, 2014 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Interment followed at Dublin Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Robert Sones officiated. Pall bearers were Ronald Jones, Tommy Myers, Randy Carter, J. J. Carter, Jamie Carter and Charlie Carter.   Mr. Troy Bradford Stapleton was born on February 22, 1933 in Mississippi. He was the son of Clifton Stapleton and Florence Carter Stapleton. He worked as foreman with the Fontaine Company for many years. He also worked as the foreman and heavy equipment operator for Covington County Beat 1. He was a member and deacon of Dublin Baptist Church. Mr. Stapleton is survived by his wife, Azzie Shoemake Stapleton of Collins; his sons, Steve Stapleton of Pearl, MS, Brad Stapleton and Bruce Stapleton both of Collins and Clifton Stapleton of Prentiss; his daughter, Troyanne Parham of Villa Rica, GA; his step son, Wayne White of Bassfield, MS; his thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
