Funeral services were held Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Doug “Hacksaw” Ladner, age 58, of Silver Creek, MS who passed away on March 14, 2014. Interment followed at Cliburn Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Chad Carney officiated. Pall bearers were Austin Reynolds, Johncil Lewis, Stan Bryant, Plez Armstrong, Bo Grimes and Michael Nations. Honorary pall bearers were Members of Silver Creek Masonic Lodge #472, the Wahabi Shriners of Jackson, MS, Darrell Sullivan, Ricky Sills and the staff of Joe Miles Lumber Company. Mr. John Douglas “Hacksaw” Ladner was born on October 30, 1955 in Lumberton, MS. He was the son of Razz Ladner Sr. and Rachel Walters Ladner. He had worked for thirty two years with Joe Miles Lumber Company in Monticello and was the head saw filer. He was a member of the Silver Creek Masonic Lodge #472 and the Wahabi Shriners of Jackson, MS. Mr. Ladner is survived by his wife, Mary Ladner of Silver Creek, MS; his sons, Michael Ladner (Tara) of Lumberton, MS and Bradley Ladner (Annette) of Zanesville, OH; his daughters, Kristy Reynolds of Wiggins, MS and Shanna Jackson (Ronald) of Silver Creek, MS; his six grandchildren; his brother, Razz Ladner, Jr. of Lumberton, MS and a number of nieces and nephews.
