Charles "Buzzy" Griffith

Funeral services were held Monday, February 17, 2014 at New Hebron Methodist Church in New Hebron, MS for Mr. Charles “Buzzy” Griffith, age 79, of New Hebron, who passed away on February 12, 2014. Interment followed at New Hebron Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Mike Dubose and Rev. Gene Horton officiated. Pall bearers were Bill Siler, Ham Bush, Glen Grubbs, James Haley, Bill Thurman and Wade Benson. A native of Jefferson Davis County, Charles Willis “Buzzy” Griffith was born on April 29, 1934. He was the son of Plez Edgar Griffith and Chomella Butler Griffith. He was the General Manager of Berry Chevrolet retiring after thirty nine years. After his retirement, he and his wife toured all fifty states in the USA plus Canada. They also went on several cruises together. He was the Leader of the local Hall of Legion and a Mason. He was also a member of New Hebron Methodist Church. Mr. Griffith is survived by his wife, Jean Griffith of New Hebron; his son, Chuck Griffith of New Hebron; his daughter, Linda Jones of New Hebron; his four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and his sister, Sarah Lou Rayburn of Winston Salem, NC.
