Rickey Broome

Graveside services were held Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Good Hope Cemetery in Columbia, MS for Mr. Rickey Broome, age 57, of Carson, MS who passed away on December 28, 2013 at his residence. Interment immediately followed. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Freddie Mills officiated. Pall bearers were Mark Graham, Ricky Dyess, Josh Broome, Cody Broome, Jimmy Smith and Ashley Taylor. A native of Mississippi, Mr. Charles Rickey Broome was born on August 16, 1956. He was the son of Charles Floyd Broome and Bertie Pace Broome. He owned and operated Rickey’s Body Shop in Prentiss for many years before retiring. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Broome is survived by his sons, Michael Broome of Prentiss, MS and Scott Broome of Carson, MS; his three grandchildren; his father Charles Floyd Broome (June) of Columbia, MS; his brother, Randy Broome of Prentiss, MS; and his stepsister, Mona Johnson of Foxworth, MS.
