Dorothy Smith Vinson

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Santee Methodist Church in Bassfield, MS for Mrs. Dorothy Smith Vinson, age 83, of Laurel, MS who passed away on December 23, 2013 at South Central Regional Hospital in Laurel. Interment followed at Santee Methodist Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Randy Gardner officiated. Pall bearers were Ron Fortenberry, Chris Fortenberry, Byron Speights, Robbie Speights, Paul Anderson and Eric Fortenberry. Mrs. Dorothy Smith Vinson was born on May 10, 1930 in Columbia, MS. She was the daughter of Sidney Eugene Enlow and Earlene Delancey Enlow. She worked as a Beautician in Bassfield for several years, then she was a stay at home mother and grandmother. She was a member of Santee Methodist Church. Mrs. Vinson is survived by her son, Gary Smith (Shirley) of Bassfield, MS; her daughter, Linda Fortenberry (Ronnie) of Laurel, MS; her nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; and her brother, Bobby Enlow of Magnolia, MS.
