Barbara Burkett

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Bassfield, MS for Mrs. Barbara Hurst Burkett, age 67, of River Ridge, LA who passed away on September 27, 2013 at her residence. Interment followed at St. James Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Deacon Bob Everard officiated. Pall bearers were Greg Brien, Johnny Brien Jr., James E. Terrell, Jimmy Kerley, Lee Hurst and Wesley Graves. A native of Mississippi, Barbara Jane Hurst Burkett was born on June 21, 1946. She was the daughter of Frank Hurst and Margie Clark Hurst. She worked as a Sales Representative for Kitchen Aide and also in Pharmaceutical sales. She was a member of St. Benilde Catholic Church in Metairie, LA. Mrs. Burkett is survived by her aunt, Thelma Clark Munday; her uncle, Billy Clark and several nieces and nephews.
