Charmian Smith

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 9, 2013 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Ms. Charmian Smith, age 84, of Ashville, AL who passed away on September 16, 2013. Interment followed at Mikell Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Robert Cooper and Rev. L. C. Anthony officiated. Pall bearers were Greg Wesberry, Greg Miller, Gary Black, John Leake, Scott Wesberry and Ben Stewart. A native of Carson, Charmian Loyette Smith was born on August 8, 1929. She was the daughter of Clara Mae Smith. She was a pattern maker for more than forty years. Throughout the years she worked with Edward Hyman in Prentiss, LePitre Inc. in Cordeal, GA and Palmetto, GA and Norman Shirt in Hazlehurst. She was a member of McEntyre Baptist Church in Ashville, AL. Ms. Smith is survived by her aunt, Manarah Leake of Woodville, MS; her cousins, Sandy Black, Jane Wesberry, Beth Miller, Carol Stewart and John Leake; and numerous other family members.
