Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. John Williams, age 63, of Bassfield, MS who passed away on August 11, 2013 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Interment followed at St. James Cemetery in Bassfield. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Randy Gardner officiated. Pall bearers were Terry Davis, Ryan Davis, Adam Davis, Chris Williams, Jimmy Kerley and Terry Davis III. Mr. John Ellis Williams was born on March 13, 1950 in Hattiesburg, MS. He was the son of Henry Williams and Eunice Faler Williams. He worked as a truck driver for twenty five years. For the last fifteen years, he worked with Speights Cash & Carry as a salesman. He was an Alderman for the Town of Bassfield and was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Mr. Williams is survived by his daughter, Carman Moore, his grandchildren, his sister, Mary Davis, his brother, Hank Williams and many nieces and nephews.
