Gerald Bridges

Funeral services were held Friday, July 26, 2013 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Truitt Gerald Bridges, age 74, of Prentiss, who passed away on July 24, 2013 at the V.A. Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Interment followed at Whitesand Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Charles Burnham and Rev. Roger Lee officiated. Pall bearers were Randy Garner, Owen Lott, Wayne Bridges, Mitchell Bridges, James Bridges and Brandon Hammett. Mr. Truitt Gerald Bridges was born on August 24, 1938 in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi. He was the son of Curtis Bridges and Florene Deavers Bridges. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of Viet Nam. He worked for 25 years with Penrod-Henley and Nabors Drilling. He was a former member of the Prentiss Lions Club and a current member of Whitesand Baptist Church. Mr. Bridges is survived by his wife, Betty Gibson Bridges of Prentiss, MS; his sons, Steve Bridges of Houston, TX, Michael Bridges of New Iberia, LA, and Bradley Bridges of Hoover, AL; his eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; his brother, Curtis Bridges, Jr. of Prentiss, MS; and his sister, Mary Garner of Hattiesburg, MS.
