Henry Ellis Bass

Funeral services were held Friday, July 26, 2013 at Oakvale Baptist Church in Oakvale, MS for Mr. Henry Ellis Bass, age 65, of Oakvale, MS, who passed away on July 23, 2013 at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss, MS. Interment followed at Oakvale Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Eddie Myers and Rev. Randy Gardner officiated. Pall bearers were Marlin Fortenberry, Larry Fuller, Milton Graham, Joey Durr, Tony Watson, Mike Williamson, Prentiss Lee and Dean Butler. Mr. Henry Ellis Bass was born on July 21, 1948 in Magee, MS. He was the son of Hilton Bass and Lola Winborn Bass. He worked for Georgia Pacific for 45 years and had recently retired. He was a member of Oakvale Baptist Church. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Diane Bass of Oakvale, MS; his sons, Kirk Bass of Monticello, MS and Tate “Bull” Bass of Silver Creek, MS; his five grandchildren; his brothers, Buford Bass of Magee, MS and Jimmy Bass of Crystal Springs, MS; his sisters, Annie Ruth Moore of Brandon, MS and Jean Bates of AR.
