John Michael Hamil

Funeral services were held Monday, July 22, 2013 at New Hebron Baptist Church in New Hebron, MS for Mr. John Michael Hamil, age 31, of Silver Creek, MS, who passed away on July 20, 2013. Interment followed at New Hebron Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Kiely Young and Rev. Tyler Chavis officiated. Pall bearers were Dillon Thurman, Will Thurman, Dalton McHenry, Beau Michael McHenry, Jackson, McHenry, Matt Findley, Erik Bryan and Lonnie Steverson. Mr. John Michael Hamil was born on November 12, 1981 in Hattiesburg, MS. He was the son of Michael Stephen Hamil and Louise Findley Hamil. He had attended Jones Community College and currently worked for Circle S in New Hebron as an apprentice. He was a member of New Hebron Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. Mr. Hamil is survived by his parents, Michael & Louise Hamil of Silver Creek; his brother, Larry Hamil of Silver Creek; his sisters, Tisha Stephens (Scotty) of New Hebron, Tina McHenry of Meridian, MS and Tammy Thurman (Brian) of Silver Creek; his three nieces and eight nephews; and his paternal grandmother, Lola Mae Hamil of Hattiesburg, MS.
