Bennie G. Daughdrill Bass

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Bennie G. Daughdrill Bass, age 92, of Utica, MS, who passed away on July 12, 2013 at her residence. Interment followed at Whitesand Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Carey Bass officiated. Pall bearers were Joe Bass, Joe Bass Jr., Will Carter, Phil Hannon, Andrew Preston Bass and Richard Bass Jr. Mrs. Bennie G. Daughdrill Bass was born on March 10, 1921 in Tilton, MS. She was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Daughdrill and Audry Catt Daughdrill. She worked at a daycare for a short time before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of Van Winkle Baptist Church. Mrs. Bass is survived by her son, Richard Bass Sr. of Jackson, MS; her daughter, Jeanette B. Hannon of Utica, MS; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sister Daisy Rae Stephens of Monticello, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J. W.
