Funeral services were held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Santee Baptist Church in Bassfield, MS for Mrs. Linda Shoemake, age 64, of Prentiss, who passed away on July 10, 2013 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Interment followed at Santee Baptist Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Tony Bagley, Rev. Julius Davis and Rev. Kenneth McQueen officiated. Pall bearers were Blake Wade, Brad Roberts, Wesley Daley, Ray Dyess, Jamie Luzenberg and Christopher Griffith. Mrs. Linda Mae Shoemake was born in Collins, MS on September 7, 1948. She was the daughter of Leon Baker and Allie Graves Baker. She worked as the Store Manager of Southern Oil Company for more than 10 years. She was also a member of Santee Baptist Church. Mrs. Shoemake is survived by her son, Glen Dale Shoemake of Prentiss, MS; her daughters, Raylene Thompson and Dolly Shoemake both of Prentiss, MS and Stacy Allen of Mize, MS; her six grandchildren; her brothers, Douglas Baker of Seminary, MS and Charles Baker of Jackson, MS; and her sisters, Tootie Allen and Jo Ann Smith both of Mize, MS, Toni McRaney and Patricia McKenzie both of Collins, MS and Brenda Hickerson of Tatum, TX.
