Kenneth E. Lee

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Kenneth Lee, age 84, of Prentiss, MS, who passed away on July 6, 2013 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Methodist Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Charles Burnham and Rev. Ben James officiated. Pall bearers were John Logan, Wes Berry, Robert Jones, Bill Whittington, Joe Lee and Frank Starnes. Mr. Kenneth Earl Lee was born on September 25, 1928 in Jefferson Davis County. He was the son of Ernest E. Lee and Julia Magee Lee. For 13 years, Mr. Lee worked for a company that manufactured mercury thermometers. In 1960, he joined the U. S. Postal Service and retired after completing 30 years of service. During his years as a rural mail carrier, he was awarded a Certificate of Commendation for 1,000,000 miles driven without an accident. Mr. Lee also had farmland and raised cattle. Mr. Lee grew up in Whitesand Baptist Church, where he attended with his parents, brothers and sisters. He and his wife Syble, were long-time members of Prentiss Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Parkman Sunday School Class. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of 66 years, Syble Brinson Lee of Prentiss; his son, Dr. William Rory Lee (Janet) of Clinton, MS; two granddaughters, Lauren Lee Ryan (Brant) and Lacey Lee; and one great-grandson, Owen William Ryan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Randall Lee, two brothers and three sisters.
