Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Juanita Boleware, age 83, of Prentiss, MS who passed away on May 18 at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg, MS. Interment followed at Prentiss Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Bobby Brewer, Rev. Charles L. Loftin, Rev. David Price and Rev. Vernon Terrell officiated. Pallbearers were Gary Jones, Robby Jones, Oliver Jones, Johnnie Jones, James Hiram Smith, Marvin Preslar and Wayne McAllister. A native of Jefferson Davis County, Juanita Pearl Jones Boleware was born on January 29, 1930. She was the daughter of Luther Jones and Ninnie Smith Jones. In April 1946 she married James Aubrey Boleware and they were inseparable. They were married 66 ½ years before his death, last year. Mrs. Boleware was a Cosmetologist for 16 years and had her own beauty shop in Bassfield and Carson. While her children were in college, Juanita also attended college. She received her BS, Masters and Specialist degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi. After graduating from USM, she dedicated 20 years as an Educator in Marion and Lamar County Schools and Tennessee State University. She also worked as the Director of Special Education for Lamar County Schools for 10 years. Mrs. Boleware was active in several national and state education associations, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a faithful member of Carson United Methodist Church where she served in several areas of ministry. She always enjoyed her needlework, cooking for family and friends, working in the yard and RV camping. She and her husband built a family cabin in Branson, MO and enjoyed many memories there. Mrs. Boleware is survived by her son, James Pruitt Boleware (Diane) of Bassfield, MS; her daughter, Marilyn Annette Preslar (Marvin) of Owasso, OK; her granddaughters, Amanda Preslar of Tulsa, OK, Shelly Paige of Oklahoma City, OK and Casey Urwin of Austin, TX; and her great-granddaughters, Anabella Paige and Iyla Urwin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Aubrey Boleware, her grandson, James Aubrey Boleware II, five brothers and three sisters.
