Lee R. Shivers

Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Bassfield, MS for Mrs. Lee R. Shivers, age 92, of Columbia, MS who passed away on March 2, 2013. Interment followed at Wilks Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Ken Roberts officiated. Pall bearers were Brian Courtney, Scott Courtney, Blaine Lee, Jason McQuillan, Heath Johnson and John McNeese. A native of Marion County, Lee Robbins Shivers was born on March 7, 1920. She was the daughter of Will Robbins and Roberta Bell Robbins. She was a homemaker and member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of Ebenezer Baptist church. Mrs. Shivers is survived by her daughters, Jan Courtney (David) of Bassfield, MS, Nancy Johnson (David Earl) of Poplarville, MS and Kay Lee (Don) of Hutto, TX; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Helen Broome of Hattiesburg, MS and Hilda Laird of Dallas, TX.
