Clarence H. Sanders

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Clarence H. Sanders, age 100, of Silver Creek, MS who passed away February 7, 2013 at his residence. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery in Silver Creek, MS. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Mike Sutton, Rev. Buck Rester, Rev. Trey Spangler and Rev. Bobby Stephens officiated. Pall bearers were John Loupe, Jimmy Jones, David Davis Jr., John L. Lewis, Billy Peeler and Mark Herrington. Mr. Clarence H. Sanders was born on May 9, 1912 in New Hebron, MS and had just celebrated his 100th birthday last year. He was the son of Sim Sanders and Flora Deavers Sanders. He was in the US Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was the Owner/Operator of Sanders Pure Oil for thirty two years. He was a former member of the Lions Club and a current member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Sanders is survived by his wife, Ellen Robertson Sanders of Silver Creek, MS; his daughter, Jo Ann Hartzog of Silver Creek, MS; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
