Funeral services were held Monday, December 31, 2012 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Margie Stogner, age 86, who passed away December 28, 2012 at The Grove Nursing Home in Columbia, MS. Interment followed at Brady Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Tommy Broome and Rev. L. C. Anthony officiated. Pall bearers were Scott May, Eric May, Jonathan Kerley, Jason Kerley, Lance Jarrell and Josh Stogner. A native of Jefferson Davis County, Margie Butler Stogner was born on February 25, 1926. She was the daughter of Frank Butler and Mary Burkett Butler. She worked in the cafeteria of Jefferson Davis County Schools. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, David Stogner (Janet) of Mandeville, LA; her daughter, Patsy May (George) of Columbia, MS; six grandchildren, Lance Jarrell of Franklinton, LA, Leigh Jarrell Stogner of Bogalusa, LA, Jonathan Kerley of Hattiesburg, MS, Jason Kerley of Bassfield, MS, Scott May and Eric May, both of Columbia, MS; and four great-grandchildren, Abby Stogner, Taylor Jarrell, Emma Stogner, and Preston Jarrell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson Preston Stogner, her daughters, Judy Kerley and Rhonda Jarrell, her sister, Frances Ross and her brother, Lynn Butler.
