Funeral services were held Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Agnes Polk, age 81, of Prentiss, MS who passed away December 24, 2012 at the Extended Care Facility in Prentiss, MS. Interment followed in Prentiss Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Bro. Wade Barnes officiated. Pallbearers were Richard Hathorn, Bubba Reynolds, John Emmitt Stamps, Bandy Grace, Stacy Page, Randy Page, William Bass, and R.D. Polk. Honorary Bearers were: Jay Wells, Ernest Prine, Glen Noto, David Foshee, and Jerry Dyess. Agnes Kathleen Polk was born on December 7, 1931 in Jefferson Davis County, MS. She was the daughter of Lawrence White and Ada Dyess White. She worked as a seamstress at Edward Hyman Factory, at TWL, and as a grocery store clerk. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Mrs. Polk is survived by one son, Jeffrey Polk of Prentiss, MS; one daughter, Vickie Hathorn of Prentiss, MS; two sisters, Shirley Noto and Pam Stamps both of Carson, MS; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
