Eunice Herrington

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Eunice Attaway Stephens Herrington, age 82, of Monticello, MS who passed away on December 23, 2012 at the Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello. Interment followed in Stephens Family Cemetery in Silver Creek, MS. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss, MS handled arrangements. Bro. Jeff Davis officiated. Pallbearers were Bill Smith, Wayne Smith, Billy Jack Smith, and Richard Rutland. Lettie Eunice Attaway Stephens Herrington was born October 23, 1930 in Lincoln Co. MS. She was the daughter of the late Charles Berry Attaway and Sara Cox Attaway. She worked part time at Kellwood Manufacturing Co. Mrs. Herrington enjoyed gardening and was a member of Dublin Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters: Jackie Lou Stephens Rutland of Sontag, MS and Pam Stephens Smith of Monticello, MS; one sister, Shirley Pinelle of Carson, MS; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands: Joseph Stephens and Wallace Herrington, and two twin sons.
