Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Bessie R. Williams, age 94, of Prentiss, MS who passed away December 23, 2012 at the Extended Care Facility in Prentiss. Interment followed in Prentiss Cemetery. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home handled arrangements. Rev. Ben James officiated. Pallbearers were Heath Williams, Dale Williams, Caleb Williams and Brian Smith. Mrs. Bessie Williams was born April 16, 1918. She was the daughter of James Thomas Renfroe and Pearlie Mae Turner Renfroe. She worked as a sales clerk at Malady’s Dress Shop in Prentiss for many years. Ms. Bessie was the oldest member of Prentiss Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Lavon Williams of Prentiss, MS; one brother James Renfroe of Texas; 6 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great –great grandchild.
