Vera (Peterson) Thurman

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 20, 2012 at New Hebron United Methodist Church for Mrs. Vera Peterson Thurman, age 51, of New Hebron, MS, who died December 17, 2012 at her residence. Interment followed at New Hebron Cemetery. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss, MS was in charge of arrangements. Bro. Mike Dubose officiated. Pallbearers were Andrew McDaniel, Alex McDaniel, Carl Peterson, Matthew Smith, Adam Womack, Joseph Odom, and Brooks Jones. Vera Veronica Thurman was born on March 3, 1961 in Mobile, AL. She was the daughter of the late William Carl “Bill” Peterson and Donna Hall Peterson. She was a member of New Hebron United Methodist Church. Mrs. Thurman is survived by her husband, Kenny Thurman of New Hebron, MS; her son, Dusty Runnels of Monticello, MS; her daughter, Rachael Runnels of New Hebron, MS; her sisters, Marie Magee of Mt. Olive, MS, Wendy Womack of Magee, MS, Hope McDaniel of New Hebron, MS, Vanessa Smith of Mobile, AL and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
