Carolyn Ruth Davis

Funeral services were held Monday, November 19, 2012 at Prentiss United Methodist Church in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Carolyn Ruth Davis, age 63, of Prentiss, MS who passed away November 17 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. Interment followed at Prentiss Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss is in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Sessions Polk and Rev. Ben James officiated. Pall bearers were Donald Wayne Bridges, Ricky Bridges, David Bridges, Charlie Dumas, Brock Long and Jay Everitt. Mrs. Carolyn Ruth Bridges Davis was born in Jackson, MS on August 1, 1949. She was the daughter of J. M. Bridges and Ruth Sullivan Bridges. She, along with her husband Willie Davis, was the co-owner of Je-Loru’s Florist in Prentiss. She was an active member of Prentiss United Methodist Church and served as a Church Hostess for many years. She was also a member of the Prentiss 20th Century Club. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of forty three years, Willie Davis of Prentiss; her daughter, Lisa Davis of Brandon, MS; her son, Chad Davis of Grenada, MS; and her mother Ruth Bridges of Prentiss, MS. She was preceded in death by her father. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jefferson Davis County Relay for Life or Prentiss UMC Piano Fund.
