Linda Ophelia Corban

Funeral services were held Friday, October 19, 2012 at Bibleway Fellowship Church in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Linda Ophelia McDuffie Corban, age 70, of Prentiss, MS who passed away on October 17, 2012 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Interment followed at the Corban Family Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Calvin Baldwin officiated. Pall bearers were Frank Greer, Aaron McDuffie, David McDuffie, Rex Hensarling, Walter Hudgins and Marvin Hanby Jr. A native of Forrest County, Linda Ophelia McDuffie Corban was born on October 23, 1941. She was the daughter of Henry Hudgins and Era Gamble Hudgins. Mrs. Corban worked as a Dental Assistant with Dr. Frank Greer in Hattiesburg for many years. She was a member of Bibleway Fellowship Church. Mrs. Corban is survived by her husband, Warnette Corban of Prentiss, MS; her daughters, Belinda Hartfield of Sumrall, MS and Carla McDuffie of Hattiesburg, MS; her step-children, Joan Graves of Prentiss, MS and Edward Corban of Seminary, MS; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Wilma Lowry of Sanford, MS, Betty Hanby, Josie Tolbert and Annie Reed all of Petal, MS and Donnie O’Connell of Atlanta, GA; and three brothers, Jake Hudgins of Moselle, MS, Walter Hudgins and Jaffree Hudgins both of Hattiesburg.
