Judy Kerley

A funeral mass was held Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Bassfield,MS for Mrs. Judy Kerley, age 62, of Bassfield, MS who passed away on September 29, 2012 at her residence. Interment followed at St. James Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Father Tommy Conway and Father Peter Varghese officiated. Pall bearers were Scott May, Eric May, Lance Jarrell, Josh Stogner, Jimmy Kerley and Kevin Kerley. Mrs. Mary “Judy” Judith Kerley was born in Tylertown, MS on October 25, 1949. She was the daughter of Jefferson P. Stogner and Margie Butler Stogner. She worked at City Beauty Shop and later worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at Bassfield Elementary School. She was an active member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and served on the Ladies Auxiliary and the Relay for Life team. Mrs. Kerley is survived by her husband, Johnny Kerley of Bassfield, MS; her sons, Jason Kerley of Bassfield, MS and Jonathan Kerley of Hattiesburg, MS; her mother, Margie Stogner of Prentiss, MS; her brother, David Stogner of Mandeville, LA and her sister, Patsy May of Columbia, MS.
