Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Walter Earl Bullock, age 62, of Bassfield, MS who passed away on September 9, 2012 in Bassfield, MS. Interment followed at Bassfield Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Brian Stewart, Rev. Ken Roberts and Rev. Randy Gardner officiated. Pall bearers were Marcus Graves, Chad Graves, John Magee, Landon Stewart, Luke Stewart, Rusty Highstreet, Richard Sebern and Robert McDaniel. Honorary pall bearers were Bobby Wilson, Roy Johnston and all his law enforcement friends. Walter Earl Bullock Jr. was born on May 18, 1950 in Marion County, MS. He was the son of Walter Earl Bullock Sr. and Willene Austin Bullock. He attended USM and earned a degree in Criminal Justice. He taught school in Columbia, MS at East Marion and in Bastrop, LA. He enjoyed coaching Pee Wee football for a number of years. Mr. Bullock was serving his third term as the Constable of Jefferson Davis County and was the former Chief of Police in Bassfield. He was also a member of Church on Main in Columbia, MS. Mr. Bullock is survived by his wife, Cheryl Daley Bullock of Bassfield; his daughter, Mitsie Stewart (Brian) of Columbia, MS; his son, Micah Bullock of Bassfield, MS; three grandchildren--Landon, Luke and Kinslee; two great-grandchildren—Lunly and Hayze; and his brother, Bates Bullock of Columbia, MS.
