Allene Myers

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Bethany Baptist Church in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Allene Myers, age 95, of Collins, MS who passed away September 2, 2012 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Interment followed at Bethany Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. L. C. Anthony officiated. Pall bearers were John Edward Myers, Kevin Myers, Steven Wintheiser and Chase Myers. Mrs. Mary Allene Myers was born in Jefferson Davis County on October 10, 1916. She was the daughter of Ethel Henderson and Lena McMillian Henderson. She and her husband, Reggie Myers, were the owners and operators of Service Butane Gas Company in Prentiss for thirty years. Mrs. Myers attended Sonshine Square Church in Carson, MS. Mrs. Myers is survived by nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and her brother, James Kenneth Henderson of Lucedale, MS.
