Doris Buckley Cole

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Old Hebron Baptist Church in New Hebron, MS for Mrs. Doris Buckley Cole, age 88, of New Hebron, MS who passed away August 8, 2012 at her residence. Interment followed at New Hebron Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Michael Giles, Rev. L. C. Anthony, Rev. Mitchell Roberts and Rev. Terry Phillips officiated. Pall bearers were Elliott Cole, C. W. Cole, Buddy Buckley, Mike Buckley, Gerald Wigington and Kenneth Fraysier. Doris Leona Cole was born in Jefferson Davis County on January 27, 1924. She was the daughter of Lonas B. Buckley and Pearl Smith Buckley. She worked as a clerk with Hudson Salvage for many years. She was a member of Old Hebron Baptist Church. Mrs. Cole is survived by her sons, Tommy Cole and Donald Cole both of New Hebron, MS; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her brother, Harold Dempsey Buckley of New Hebron, MS; and her sister, Mary Willie Earhart of Pell City, AL.
