Eddie Nelson, Jr.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Eddie Nelson Jr., age 38, of Brookhaven, MS who passed away on July 4 at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Interment followed at Advance Cemetery in Sumrall. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Carl Adamson officiated. Pall bearers were Michael Douglas, Joey Beard, Karey Pickering, John Broom, Ray Smith and Jonathan Beard. Mr. Eddie Charles Nelson Jr. was born in Columbia, MS on August 22, 1973. He was the son of Eddie C. Nelson Sr. and Angie Hudson Dicks. He worked as a Supervisor with Columbus Lumber Company in Brookhaven for eighteen years. He enjoyed music and children, racing four wheelers and was a novice chef. He was a member of Northview Baptist Church. Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife, Lisa Nelson of Brookhaven, MS; his sons, Landon Nelson of Meadville, MS and Cody Cooper of Brookhaven, MS; his daughters, Kaitlin Cooper and Anna Cooper both of Brookhaven; his father, Eddie Nelson Sr. (Marcelle) of Brookhaven, MS; his mother, Angie Dicks (Sam) of Carson, MS; his sister, Thresa Watson of Foxworth, MS; his brother, Thomas Nelson of Foxworth, MS; his step brothers, Sammy Landry of GA and Reggie Thornton of McComb, MS; his step sister, Sandy Varldmow of PA.
