Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Mike Schwarzauer, age 82, of Silver Creek, MS who passed away on June 30 at his residence. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery in Silver Creek. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Tim Robertson officiated. Pall bearers were James Holyfield, George Kirby, Earl Benson Jr., Mark Herrington and Howard Patton. Mr. Michael “Mike” Albert Schwarzauer was born in Lawrence County MS on October 29, 1929. He was the son of Michael E. Schwarzauer and Kate Ratcliff Schwarzauer. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Air Force. He was a Chief Engineer with Canal Barge Company for thirty years. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Schwarzauer is survived by his daughters, Pat Daughdrill (Jerry) of Ocean Springs, MS and Suzanne Scott (Robert) of Franklin, TN; his son, Dennis Schwarzauer (Penny) of Ridgeland, MS; five grandchildren; his brother, Kent Schwarzauer of Silver Creek, MS; and his sisters, Charlene Jones of Waxahatchie, TX and Edna Robinson of Byram, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a daughter, a sister and two brothers.
