Mims W. Griffith

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss for Mr. Mims W. Griffith, age 92, of Prentiss, MS who passed away June 14, 2012 in Prentiss, MS. Interment followed at Whitesand Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Charles Burnham officiated. Pall bearers were J. R. Griffith, Jacob Griffith, Jason Griffith, Andrew Griffith, Charles Martin and Curtis Bridges. Honorary pall bearers were Personnel of the MS. Game & Fish Dept. Mr. Mims William Griffith was born in Prentiss, MS on July 21, 1919. He was the son of Lonnie N. Griffith and Katie Hemby Griffith. He served in the US Air Force and was a veteran of World War II. He was a Game Warden with the MS Dept of Wildlife and was the manager of the Jefferson Davis Lake for twenty three years. Mr. Griffith was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was member of Whitesand Baptist Church. Mr. Griffith is survived by his sisters, Frances Robinson and Carolyn Taylor both of Columbia, MS and numerous nieces and nephews.
