Funeral services were held Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in New Hebron, MS for Mrs. Barbara Little, age 51, of New Hebron, MS who passed away April 19, 2012 at her residence. Interment followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. S. A. “Sonny” Adkins and Rev. Derek Lambert officiated. Music was provided by an instrumental CD of her brother, Kendall Smith. Pall bearers were Mark Lee, Charlie Little, Darrell Chavis, Lonnie Steverson, Russ Berry and Arty Girod. Mrs. Barbara Jeannine Little was born on June 8, 1960 in Jackson, MS. She was the daughter of Billy Truett Smith and Marcia Jean Buckley Smith. She was a registered nurse for more than twenty five years. She worked for the MS Baptist Hospital and was a home health care nurse. She was an active member of New Hebron Baptist Church and served as the Senior Adult Activities Coordinator, Bible Buddies leader and was a Sunday school teacher. Barbara was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her love and compassion for others defined her life. She lived her life to the fullest believing one should make the most of their “dash” in life, not the dates. Mrs. Little is survived by her husband, Billy D. Little Jr. of New Hebron; her son Brian Little (Nikki) of New Hebron; her daughter, Julie Little of New Hebron; her mother, Marcia B. Smith of New Hebron; her brother, Kendall Smith (Susan) of McComb, MS and her In-laws, Bill and Helen Little. She was preceded in death by her father.
