Roland T. Dickerson

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Roland Dickerson, age 77, of Pinola, MS who passed away April 3, 2012 at his residence. Interment followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Phillip Douglas officiated. Pall bearers were Steve Kendrick, Roland Luckey, Paul Bryant, Joey Ashley, Clyde Brown and Eddie Douglas. Mr. Roland Thomas Dickerson was born on May 27, 1934 in Simpson County, MS. He was the son of Delmer Dickerson and Margarete Brewer Dickerson. He worked as a Bus Driver for Trailways for forty two years before retiring. He was also a mason. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and served as a Deacon and treasurer. Mr. Dickerson is survived by his wife, Dora Dickerson; his son, Dale Dickerson of Largo, FL; his daughter, Darlene Page of Brandon, MS; his step-children, Steve Kendrick and Cynthia Presley both of New Hebron, MS; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and his brother, Wayne Dickerson of Savannah, GA.
