Peggy S. Parkman

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Peggy Parkman, age 78, of Hattiesburg, MS who passed away on March 29 at Wesley Medical Center. Interment followed at the Mikell Cemetery in Prentiss, MS. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Kevin Shearer officiated. Pall bearers were Shelly Barnes, Kelly Barnes, Johnnie Barnes, Todd Broome, Fred Gatlin and Levelle Lewis. Mrs. Peggy Parkman was born on November 16, 1933 in Jefferson Davis County, MS. She was the daughter of Leffie J. Barnes and Evelyn Smith Barnes. She was married to the late, Elliott Gene Parkman. She was a homemaker and a member of Thirty Eighth Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Parkman is survived by her brother, Harold Barnes of Prentiss, MS and her beloved dog, “Red”. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother.
