Funeral services were held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Prentiss United Methodist Church in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Lois B. Davis, age 91, of Prentiss, MS who passed away March 15, 2012 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. Interment followed at Prentiss Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Sessions Polk and Rev. Ben James officiated. Pall bearers were Charlie Dumas, Tony Waits, Jay Everitt, James Russell Dumas, Sonny Everitt and Perry Jones. Mrs. Lois Booth Davis was born on January 8, 1921 in Jefferson Davis County, MS. She was the daughter of Isaac Booth and Irma Polk Booth. She worked with the ASCS office for thirty five years and later worked with Grace Grubbs in the County Tax Assessor’s office. She was an active member of Prentiss United Methodist Church and the DAR. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and playing the piano for Sunday night services. She also served as the church Secretary/Treasurer for thirty five years. She is survived by her son, Willie J. Davis and wife, Carolyn Ruth of Prentiss, MS; her grandchildren, Lisa Davis and Chad Davis; and her sister, Wilma Wilson of Prentiss, MS.
