W. B. Brown

Funeral services were held February 8, 2012 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. W. B. Brown, age 85, who passed away February 6, 2012 at the MS Veterans Home in Collins, MS. Interment followed at New Hebron Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Phillip Douglas officiated. Pall bearers were Kenny Brown, Reid Brown, Don Neal and Rusty Dees. Mr. W. B. Brown was born on April 3, 1926 in Simpson County, MS. He was the son of P. K. Brown and Maggie Holmes Brown. He served in the US Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He later retired as a Supervisor with Institution Foods in Pearl, MS. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, June Brown of Magee, MS; his son, Tommy Brown of Lumberton, MS; his daughters, Martha Deen of Florence, MS, Marsha Mallett of Braxton, MS and Barbara Haddox of Houston, TX; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Clyde Brown of New Hebron, MS; and a sister, Virginia Korioth of Dallas, TX.
