A funeral mass was held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Bassfield, MS for Miss Mary Katherine Coderre, age 14, of New Hebron, MS, who died December 19, 2011 from the results of a car accident. Father Peter Varghese and Deacon Bob Everard officiated. Interment followed at Santee Methodist Church Cemetery. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss, MS was in charge of all arrangements. Pallbearers were Brian Coderre, Lincoln Coderre, Jacob Skinner, Jason Hinton, Gabriel Smith and Joseph Bagwell. Miss Mary Katherine Coderre was born on October 7, 1997 in San Antonio, TX. She was an eighth grade student at New Hebron Attendance Center. She was an active member of the Beta Club and the Bible Club at school. She attended St. Peter’s Catholic Church and was an Altar Server at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Prentiss. Miss Coderre is survived by her mother, Julianna Smith of New Hebron, MS; her father, Lincoln Coderre, Sr. and stepmother, Kate of Bennington, VT; her two brothers, Lincoln Coderre II of Virginia and Brian Coderre of New Hebron; her two step-brothers, Chris Smith and Gabriel Smith, both of MS; her half-sister, Alexia Coderre of VT; Maternal Grandparents, Hank & Marlene Rivers and Maternal Great-Grandfather, Randell McNair, all of Evening Shade, AR; Paternal Grandmother, Janice Porter and Paternal Great Grandmother, Eve Porter, both of Zephyr Hills, FL; Paternal Step-Grandmother, Nina Raybon of Pearl, MS.
