Grady H. Bridges

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Whitesand Baptist Church in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Grady H. Bridges, age 84, of Prentiss, who passed away on November 29, 2011 at his residence. Interment followed at Whitesand Baptist Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Charles Burnham officiated. Pall bearers were Glenn Griffith, Joe Bridges, Dirk Aycock, Charles Myers, Buddy Cliburn and Dent Mikell. Honorary Pall Bearers were Whitesand Baptist Church Men’s #2 Sunday School Class. Grady Hosey Bridges was born in Jefferson Davis County, MS on February 7, 1927. He was the son of Thomas Hosey Bridges and Dora Daughdrill Bridges. He worked as a Crain Operator with Odeco Offshore. He also was an Owner/Truck Driver, School Bus Driver for Jefferson Davis County and a Chicken Farmer. He was a member of Whitesand Baptist church. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Bridges of Prentiss, MS; two sons, Gary Bridges and Billy Bridges both of Prentiss, MS; his daughters, Diane Lyons of Lansing, TN and Delores Smith of Prentiss, MS; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Leona McAlpin of Magee, MS and Christine Jenkins of Pearl, MS; three step-sisters, Maggie Mahaffey and Nancy Hathorn both of Richland, MS and Archie Rose Cordray of TX; his step-brothers, Johnny Bridges and Harvel Bridges both of Pinola, MS.
