Shirley O'Brien

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Santee Baptist Church in Bassfield, MS for Mrs. Shirley O’Brien, age 69, who passed away on November 18, 2011 at her residence in New Hebron, MS. Interment followed at Santee Baptist Church Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Tony Bagley and Mr. Brian Watkins officiated. Pall bearers were Mickey Gamble, Matthew Forman, Jeremy McSwain, Adam Dyess, Jeff Saulters and Charles Buckley. Shirley Ann O’Brien was born in Jefferson Davis County, MS on April 29, 1942. She was the daughter of Curtis Saulters and Myrtle Graves Saulters. She was self-employed and sold peanuts in Prentiss and Monticello for a number of years. She was a member of Santee Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Watkins of Hattiesburg, MS; her son, Brian Watkins (Laura) of Austin, TX; her step children, Daniel, Robert, Patrick, Marie, Alice, Terri, Joan and Nancy; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; her brother, Grady Saulters (Alice) of Prentiss, MS; her sisters, Oline Forman of Zachary, LA and Kathleen Burkhalter of Collins, MS.
