Bedie Marie Smith

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Bedie M. Smith, age 86, of Collins, MS who passed away on November 13, 2011 at her residence. Interment followed at Lonestar Cemetery. Rev. Ken Roberts officiated. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Pall bearers were Ike Smith, Jake Smith, Howard Reddoch, Russell McNease, Dustin McNease and Blake McNease. Honorary pall bearers were Scotty Burns, Travis Smith and Cody Flowers. Bedie Marie Smith was born November 20, 1924 in Sumrall, MS. She was the daughter of Johnny Doyle Williamson and Beulah Patterson Williamson. She was a supervisor with Edward Hyman Manufacturing and Midland Shirt Company. Mrs. Smith was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Karen Burns (Kevin) of Bassfield, MS; her sons, Wayne Smith and Hal Smith (Terri) all of Collins, MS; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; her brothers, J. T. Williamson of Oak Grove, MS and Julius Williamson of Sumrall, MS; and her sisters, Ruth Smith of Oak Grove, MS, Lovenia Stringer and Malene Morgan both of Petal, MS.
