Phyllis Sills

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Crooked Creek Baptist Church in Silver Creek, MS for Mrs. Phyllis Sills, age 58, of Silver Creek, MS who passed away on October 2, 2011 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Interment followed at Crooked Creek Baptist Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Chad Carney, Rev. Doc Bradford and Rev. James Carney officiated. Pall bearers were Heath Massey, Trent Massey, Brennan Hubbard, Tyler Breland, Edward Wright and Kevin Cooley. A native of Alabama, Phyllis Ann Sills was born on November 3, 1952. She was the daughter of C. D. Massey and Lorraine Bailey. She worked for State Farm Insurance in Jackson, MS and had on outreach ministry with shut-ins. She was baptized on March 29, 1964 and a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church. She also loved arts and crafts. She is survived by her husband, Grover D. Sills of Silver Creek; a son, Kevin Hubbard of Hattiesburg, MS; a daughter, Stephanie Beasley of Monticello, MS; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her father and stepmother, C. D. and Dorothy Massey of Selma, AL; her mother, Lorraine Bailey of Jackson, MS; three brothers, Bart, Wayne and David; and six sisters, Patricia, Gayle, Robin, Kelly, Pam and Becka.
