Raymond Edward Fant

Private memorial services will be held at a later date for Mr. Raymond Fant, age 76, of Prentiss, MS who passed away on September 15, 2011 at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital following a lengthy illness. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Raymond Edward Fant was born on March 15, 1935 in Birmingham, AL, the son of May Sheppard Fant. Upon his graduation from high school, Mr. Fant completed two years of junior college. He then joined the US Army working as a paratrooper. He was a veteran and served his country during the Korean War. He worked as a Tile Layer for more than twenty five years throughout the southeast. He was a member of Carson Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty Bates Fant of Prentiss, MS. He was preceded in death by his mother and siblings.
